The Most Underappreciated Players In The History Of The Bundesliga
By Peter CHere is a list of some of the players who have been the most underappreciated in the history of the German Bundesliga.
Hajime Hosogai

Born in 1986, Hajime featured for VfB Stuttgart, Hertha Berlin, Augsburg and Bayer Leverkusen during his time in Germany.
The Asian player was an engine room and was responsible for executing the disruption of opponents’ plays.
Amine Harit
Strong feet, agility, and amazing vision are some of the qualities the Schalke 04 midfielder possesses. The 24-year-old French-born player is most dangerous with his defense and midfield-splitting passes.
He is definitely much underrated despite his awesome qualities.
Omer Toprak
Toprak is one of the best center-backs the Bundesliga has seen in recent years, but his brilliant performances have not translated into praises for him.
The 31-year-old Turkish international has featured German teams like Borussia Dortmund, SC Freiburg, and Bayer Leverkusen. He is currently with Werder Bremen.
Rafinha
Having initially played for Schalke 04, Brazilian-born Rafinha enjoyed his most successful run of regular football at Bayern Munich under Spanish manager Pep Guardiola.
For all his consistently impressive performances, Rafinha was never really rated as he should have been.
Marcel Sabitzer
The Austrian plays for RB Leipzig and has been very instrumental to the team’s impressive run of the Bundesliga over the past few years.

The 27-year-old helped RB Leipzig to the quarterfinal of the Champions League in the 2019/20 season but has been underappreciated for his performances for the club.
