The Brazilian became one of the costliest players in the world when Spanish club Real Betis splashed a whopping $32,000,000 to the services of the then 21-year-old from Sao Paulo. Denilson was known for his amazing dribbling skills and energy.

Although he played for FC Dallas, he did not really live up to expectations.

Maurice ‘Mo’ Johnston

Scottish forward Maurice ‘Mo ‘Johnston featured for the Kansas City Wizards, who started his professional career with Patrick Thistle and played for several clubs like Celtic, Nantes, Everton, Hearts, Falkirk, and English football club, Watford.

MoJo played for Kansas City Wizards for five seasons before leaving.

Lothar Matthaus

The name is an embodiment of the greatest. Yes! Matthaus was a great player who was featured in the MLS, but he was also one of the finest soccer players ever to grace planet earth.

Matthaus won the European soccer player of the year, the World Player of the Year,  and the FIFA World Player of the Year. A key attribute of this enigmatic former Metro stars player was his versatility. He had the ability to play in both midfield or defense effectively.

Hristo Stoichkov

The former DC United and Chicago Fire Bulgarian was very unpredictable with his tricky and charisma whenever he was with the ball. Just like Matthaus, Stoichkov was not only renowned in the US soccer base but also worldwide.
