In this article, you will read some interesting facts about the Manchester United player.

Charlie Savage was born on May 2, 2003, in Leicester, England. An interesting fact here is that Savage holds Welsh nationality, which makes him qualified to represent Wales in international competitions as a football player. Being a very young football player, Savage’s rapid improvement paved the way for him, and he has represented his country at various youth international levels.

The 19-year-old is also popular for being the son of Robbie Savage, a former Welsh international footballer who also played as a midfielder. Although Robbie also played in the same position as his son, Charlie Savage believes he is a better player than his father.

Charlie Savage, like his father, is an exceptional midfielder with a good eye for goal. He has proven to be a hardworking player with incredible all-around abilities,  a quality that makes him good at defending and attacking. After an impressive time with Wales Under 17 team, he was promoted to play for the country’s Under 18 team.

Savage had his debut game for Manchester United in 2021 during a UEFA match against Young Boys. Although he didn’t get enough time to play as he was substituted to replace Juan Mata in the 89th minute of the game, his father was in attendance as a co-commentator for BT Sport.

Savage, who is expected to play for the Red Devils until 2025, has been a familiar face at the  United’s development center since he was five. After some time at the club’s Academy, he made it into the Club’s Under 18s team in the 2019–20 season with an excellent record of three goals and 7 assists in 23 matches before signing his first professional contract at the club in April 2021.
