Barcelona has produced some amazing world-class goalkeepers during the course of their history. Here, we make a list of some of the greatest and finest goalkeepers the club has ever produced.

Ferenc Plattkó

Plattkó/Platko was born very late in the 19th century in the Hungarian capital city of Budapest. He joined Barcelona in 1923. He went on to win many laurels with the Spanish outfit.

Andoni Zubizarreta

Zubizarreta was a very intelligent goalkeeper who is widely regarded as one of the most successful players in Barcelona’s history. While he was the main man between the sticks for Barça, the club enjoyed unprecedented success.

The Spaniard became the club’s director of football in 2010.

Javier Urruticoechea

Popularly referred to as Urruti across the Barcelona fanbase, the Spanish spent 16 seasons with Barcelona, during which he made 307 appearances.

He died tragically in an accident at age 49.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

With over 250 appearances and over 100 clean sheets for FC Barcelona, 29-year-old Ter Stegen obviously makes our list of the finest Barcelona goalkeepers in history.

The Geman shot stopper joined the Catalans from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2014 and has won 4 La Liga titles, 5 Copa del Rey trophies and one UEFA Champions League among others.

Ricardo Zamora

“El Divino” was known for his agility and flexibility. Following his numerous exploits with Barcelona, he died at the age of 77 in 1978.

The Ricardo Zamora Trophy (La Liga’s best goalkeeper award) has been named in his honor to appreciate this legend.
